Vision:
It is essential to motivate and inspire both the team and yourself.
Plan for the long-term goals of the project or studio.
Attract investors and employees who have similar visions and passion to yours. (Help build a better company culture)
Communicate with partners and employees about the vision for the company and your target.
Keep your vision large. So everyone has something they can attach to and work on.
Explaining your vision to others can help you understand how interested people are in the game and if they understand.
Determine if it's worth it for other people to join and make the game (Or fund it).
Risk:
It's important to take risks when making a game. Making a common game might make it very uninteresting.
Risk normally entails slowly trying to find the specific area that fits best with the project. It can take some time to find the best option for the game.
Valuation:
Consists of the time and money put into the game.
The history of the team and their experience working together.
Any IP rights the studio owns and can use to make games.
External validations through fans or customers who are willing to interact with the studio.
Team:
It's important to take time to think through the culture for the team.
What are the roles you will need to fill at what point?
Find teammates who are better at different areas than you. So they can make that better than you will ever.
Self-motivated people are the best.
Culture can easily make or break a team, as people might lose motivation or be extremely motivated to work.
You:
When starting a studio, you normally only have experience in one area of development.
Be ready to not know a lot and need to search and learn as much as possible.
There will be a lot of stress and pressure that can build up. Be critical of how things are going.
